Health System Workforce Experience Accelerator
-
Method: Accelerate Learnings
-
Impact Area: Strengthening the Healthcare Workforce
Supporting Our Workforce
CaroNova is supporting a bi-state collaborative to transform the workforce experience, examining the root causes of burnout and lack of professional fulfillment, and working with health systems to codesign and launch an online resource suite of existing best practices and innovative strategies.
Where We Are
CaroNova is working closely with eleven hospital systems across the Carolinas to co-design strategies intended to improve workforce experience.
The sites have developed robust solution packages to support replication by other healthcare systems. Sites continue to evaluate the effectiveness of their workforce retention strategies and are disseminating a workforce experience pulse survey to measure burnout and professional fulfillment; sites are also collecting workforce retention data to better understand turnover and vacancy rates.
CaroNova facilitates bi-monthly meetings with the sites to promote peer learning and solidify a systems approach to addressing workforce shortages.
Where We're Going
- CaroNova will promote the resource suite and solutions via communications campaigns and partnership channels.
- CaroNova will draw on data about the solutions’ effectiveness to continue learning about which types of approaches are replicable and scalable across multiple health systems.
- CaroNova will disseminate a final report with lessons learned and evaluation best practices.
