Julia Beck, MSW, MSPH

Julia Beck, MSW, MSPH is an experienced thought leader and trusted senior executive with a proven ability to lead and grow strong teams and translate policy into practice. As Founder and President, Julia launched CaroNova in 2021 bringing over 20 years of service in health reform and mission-driven operational excellence. Her passion lies in finding straightforward solutions to complex problems and putting action behind those ideas to successfully bring them into reality.

Prior to leading CaroNova, Julia served as President of the North Carolina Healthcare Foundation, where she led a growth plan that transitioned it into the largest private philanthropy-funded foundation affiliated with a state association in the nation.

Julia is the co-author of several book chapters, journal publications, and the American Board of Pediatrics’ Performance Improvement Module on community pediatrics and patient-centered care. She is the recipient of the Public Health in Social Work Leadership Award and the Pioneer Institute Better Government Award. Julia earned a bachelor’s in education from the New School University and master’s degrees in Social Work and Science in Public Health from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
