Ellen Carroll, MSc
Ellen Carroll, MSc is an accomplished and passionate public policy and health specialist who has dedicated more than 13 years to the development and advancement of health innovations at the national, state, and local level. Since joining CaroNova in 2021, Ellen has effectively led the process of co-designing a comprehensive youth mental health framework which guides state and local leaders in implementing a model of care and aligned preventions for school-aged youth in the Carolinas. Prior to joining the team, Ellen served as the inaugural Health Director of Special Olympics North Carolina where she was instrumental in developing a Healthy Communities model that increased access to community health and wellness resources for more than 6,000 people with intellectual and developmental disabilities in North Carolina. Ellen has a Master of Science in Public Policy and Health from Durham University (UK) and a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism and Mass Communication from the University of South Carolina.
